Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer Drafter to join our team. This role will be responsible for implementing capital projects and providing engineering support for all operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting, as well as the ability to develop or modify designs independently.

The CAD Designer Drafter will work closely with Plant Engineers and other departments to create and/or modify 3D models, detail manufacturing drafts, and facility layout drawings. They will also reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings, and create electronic files using document management systems.

This is a key role in supporting internal and external fabrication through the creation of supporting files such as .DXF, .PDF, or .STP. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to propose innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Education or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in design and drafting
  • Technically proficient in one of the following: Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM) using Autodesk Vault or Siemens TeamCenter
  • Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
