The Serenity Center is an outpatient behavioral health and addiction recovery practice offering mental health and addiction medication management and counseling with 3 Locations to serve The Valley.

The Serenity Center is seeking energetic, passionate licensed counselors/therapists to add to our growing team of dedicated mental health and substance treatment professionals. We currently have offices located in North Lima, Austintown, and Warren with hybrid positions available in Warren and North Lima.

We offer a flexible hybrid schedule with options including both telehealth and in-office scheduling. We offer both employee and independent contractor positions (independent contractors must be independently licensed).

Salary: Competitive, Based on licensure level and experience

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides an array of clinical services (as described in more detail below) to adults, adolescents, and/or children who are diverse with respect to presenting concerns and demographic variables.
  • Conducts thorough Psychosocial Assessments for all new clients, some of which may include utilizing ASAM criteria to identify the recommended level of care for chemical dependency treatment.
  • Provides ongoing individual, couples, and/or family counseling sessions as necessary.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans/procedures to address presenting problems utilizing best practice/evidenced-based interventions based on collaborative engagement with clients
  • Utilizes knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities and theories to effectively plan intervention strategies for a variety of different client populations.
  • Depending upon licensure status and experience, clinician may be asked to supervise junior/trainee counselors.
  • Participates in conferences, seminars, and other continuing education efforts to improve job knowledge/skill and maintain current licensure.
  • Maintains up-to-date and complete documentation of clinical cases (e.g., progress notes, initial assessments/evaluations, treatment plans, and discharges).
  • Maintains a high level of professional and ethical standards and adheres to agency Policies and Procedures to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed/applicable.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree and valid Ohio Licensure (LSW/LISW or LPCC)-required (unable to accept LPC at this time)

Preferred experience:

Mental Health: 1+

Other required skills/experience:

  • Able to navigate a variety of computer applications, including MS Office, email, and computerized scheduling and documentation systems· Relates to others with empathy and sensitivity
  • Exercises discretion and sound ethical judgment at all times
  • Works well both independently and as a member of a team
  • Able to pass a complete background check
