Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling customer accounts, and ensuring the accurate and timely posting of receivables. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the dealership by working closely with the sales, service, and parts departments to ensure accurate billing and collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming payments in accordance with company policies and procedures. (cash, checks, credit cards, ACH, etc.)
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding payment status.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes with customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and customer interactions and send month end statements.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes and account reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts receivable.
  • Receive and verify expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  • Records entries and verifies documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20-$23 per hour.
