As a Customer Service Representative, your day-to-day tasks involve problem solving and communicating complex information in an understandable and concise manner. You will handle inbound calls relating to health benefits, policy guidelines, claim statuses, and general inquiries. Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing accurate information and resolving any issues efficiently is paramount in this role.

In addition to direct customer interaction, you will collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm ways to improve our service delivery, participate in training sessions, and adapt to the dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires an individual who can maintain a calm demeanor under pressure and demonstrate empathy and integrity when dealing with sensitive matters.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Answer inbound calls and respond to customer emails regarding health plan information.

2. Provide clear, accurate, and timely responses to both complex and routine inquiries.

3. Document all customer interactions with attention to detail and accuracy.

4. Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to find solutions to customer issues.

5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Aetna’s policies and procedures.

6. Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and performance level.

7. Support organizational changes. Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement initiatives.

**Requirements:**

1. High School Diploma or GED required; further education preferred.

2. Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the healthcare or insurance sector.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

5. Comfortable working in a technologically driven environment.

6. Empathy and a strong customer-focused attitude.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
