The Coffee House Manager role plays a critical part in bringing our mission, core values and coffee partnerships to life by creating and upholding an uplifting environment for employees and customers alike, while also modeling, directing and coaching teammates to achieve operational excellence, financial goals and continuous learning and personal development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years customer service experience in hospitality or retail industries
  • Specialty coffee/tea lover with a desire to learn and expand industry knowledge
  • Solution-oriented, positive and thrives on overcoming obstacles
  • Loves to 'Focus on Good,' isn't deterred by challenges or unexpected setbacks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to achieve results
  • Able to multitask with efficiency and urgency
  • Reliable transportation, punctual for all shifts and meetings
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to work largely standing, moving, bending and reaching
  • Comfortable with wearing a headset, per drive-thru operations

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Model and coach teammates to provide uplifting customer experiences
  • Create specialty coffee beverages to company standards
  • Ensure baristas continually create specialty coffee beverages to company standards
  • Affinity to stay on top of industry trends and product innovations
  • Execute and oversee store opening and closing tasks to company standard
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and food-safe store environment
  • Shares coffee knowledge with customers in a way that encourages an approachable conversation about specialty coffee
  • Maintain positive and professional environment, ability to teach and train baristas
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely and uplifting manner
  • Support inventory management, as assigned
  • Support professional development of store team / talent plan
  • Ensure proper cash management
