We offer a team of seasoned experts to support our clients in media and influencer relations, communications strategy, media training, and thought leadership.As we grow, we are seeking a Junior Associate with experience in non-profit, foundation, and/or political PR, based in New York or Los Angeles. In this role, you’ll support account management through account administration, maintaining reports and databases, creating and maintaining media lists, research, pitching, and creative cultivation of ideas.At Elle, our strength comes from our diverse team who helps deserving causes cut through the noise and break into the mainstream conversation. If you have at least one full year of PR internship experience and are passionate about social and environmental impact, then we want to talk to you.Key Areas of Responsibilities:- Act as an Elle representative: Support client accounts by collaborating with the internal project lead/team, securing results for clients, and representing Elle Communications externally in a positive and knowledgeable manner- Regularly pursue and secure new opportunities, relationships, and meaningful media placements- Maintain and organize all client initiatives, timelines, and materials- Create the first draft of weekly, monthly, and quarterly client reports; distribute when approved- Participate in client brainstorming and idea creation- Maintain pre-existing and develop new relationships with influencers and stakeholders in media, talent, and other areas of importance for the agency and clients- Keep up with industry trends and consistently monitor news trends, clients, and competitors- Regularly secure new opportunities and relationships that will benefit clients- Participate in event management, including press conferences, desksides, previews, and promotional events; attend and promote client events to the media, as neededAbout You:- You’re driven to deliver results for your team and your clients- You love the field of PR and want to put your skills to use in driving meaningful change in the world- You have a growth mindset and get excited by opportunities to grow and develop- You’re adaptable and can work well within a small agency, where we wear multiple hats- You're a student of the media, read and consume a wide variety of outlets on a regular basis and keep your finger on the pulse of what's happening in the news, pop culture, politics, and society, and the environment- You want to work on a positive, collaborative team and participate in co-creating a results-driven, fun, and relational company culture- You resonate with our core valuesThe position is temporarily virtual, but will eventually shift to a hybrid setup.
