What you’ll achieve As an Audio and Acoustics Engineering Technologist, you'll be responsible for driving the audio strategy and incubating new experiences for Dell’s PC portfolio. You will work with CTO peers, strategists, and product marketing on shaping the future of audio and acoustics technology in the modern AI PC era. You will: Define audio architecture and system design to deliver innovative audio solutions Influence audio ecosystem suppliers' R&D investments and product plans to support Dell’s audio strategy Drive industry-relevant standards that enable your audio strategy as well as define strategies and capabilities to reduce and manage system-level acoustics Create and implement sound effects, ambient sounds and audio enhancements for PC applications Collaborate with marketing, engineering and external suppliers to define, demonstrate and deliver innovative audio solutions as well as contribute technically through innovation and intellectual property generation Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements: Minimum of 15 years of experience in audio engineering, acoustics and sound design with proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and align cross-functional teams Strong understanding of PC audio systems, signal processing and acoustic principles as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset Talent Development & Leadership--ability to build, mentor and scale internal technical communities in audio and acoustics, ensuring Dell sustains world-class expertise and a pipeline of future technologists Innovation & Intellectual Property--generate intellectual property in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms, transducer integration and immersive audio architectures, positioning Dell as an industry leader in patents and publications within audio and acoustics Desirable Requirements: Master’s degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustics or a related field Experience with 3D audio and immersive sound technologies Compensation Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
