Job Title: Materials Handler / Planner – Electronics Manufacturing

Location: Lilburn, GA (On-site)
Salary: $16- $22 per hour (based on experience)

We’re looking for a Materials Handler / Planner to join our operations team — someone who will manage the movement of materials from receiving and inventory through kitting, staging, and production support.

Responsibilities:

Receiving & Inventory Management

  • Receive and inspect incoming parts, components, and materials
  • Label, store, and enter parts into the ERP system accurately
  • Organize and maintain stockroom and inventory locations for efficient retrieval
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies with purchasing

Kitting & Production Support

  • Pull and kit parts accurately according to BOMs and work orders
  • Stage materials for production builds in coordination with schedulers and team leads
  • Return excess components to inventory and update ERP accordingly after job completion
  • Assist in maintaining traceability and documentation for AS9100D compliance

Planning & Coordination

  • Work closely with production planner and purchasing to track material availability
  • Assist with shortage reports, allocations, and purchasing follow-ups as needed
  • Monitor and flag material constraints or low inventory levels to prevent downtime
  • Participate in planning meetings to ensure alignment on build schedules and kit readiness

System & Communication

  • Maintain part records and job status within ERP system (JobBOSS or equivalent)
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding kit status, missing parts, or inventory issues
  • Support document control by ensuring kits include current revisions and labels

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of materials handling, inventory control, or production support experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics/EMS preferred)
  • Must have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
  • Comfortable using a barcode scanner, label printer, and basic computer tools (Excel, email, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs, part numbers, and component labels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across departments
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and moving between stockroom and production floor as needed

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with IPC/ESD handling practices
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing
  • Prior experience with kitting, material staging, and inventory cycle counts
  • Forklift certification or training
