Medical Data Entry Specialist ID-8541

Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis, Minnesota based healthcare client in search of a contract Medical Data Entry Specialist to assist them with managing a significant backlog of administrative authorizations. This role is mission-critical as the backlog is creating several downstream challenges with providing services and ultimately billing for the associated services. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a high volume, fast paced environment that requires a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input, process, and manage medical and administrative documentation for a variety of patients.
  • Review, verify, and organize client documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the client’s leadership team to prioritize and resolve backlog cases effectively.
  • Conduct quality checks on entered data to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and completeness.
  • Maintain data integrity by spotting and correcting discrepancies or incomplete entries in a timely manner.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential client information with a high degree of professionalism and adherence to compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues or obtain missing information.
  • Provide periodic progress updates to leadership on the status of addressing the backlog.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflows and optimize data entry efficiency.


Qualifications:

• 2+ years of prior data entry experience, ideally in the healthcare field.

• Comfort level working in a fast paced, ever changing environment that requires an extreme level of attention to detail.

• 8,000+ ksph data entry skills

• Experience working in a mission driven organization is highly desired

• Associates in Business preferred, but not required


Compensation

$19.00-$21.00 Hourly
