Our team is looking for a Software Engineer for our Backend Services team that enables creators to build multiplayer games. This team plays a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and operating multiplayer services for Xbox, across Console, PC and Cloud. We are looking for a leader who will drive innovation and execution that will delight our game creators.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Fluency to read, write and speak in English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, services and cloud storage technologies
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, threading, synchronization.
  • Effective design, development, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience programming with .NET Framework or .NET CORE
  • Experience with one or more of Kubernetes, Linux, Azure or AWS

Responsibilities

  • Uses social skills to collaborate with internal and external game developers and partners.
  • Designs, builds, tests, debugs, and ships quality service code that is used by hundreds of millions of users.
  • Develops new online services and integrates them into multiple platforms.
  • Solves complex problems that allow for innovative features across multiple devices and services.
  • Participates actively in a community of creativity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Works on a world-class engineering team dedicated to the delivery of highly available and reliable 24x7 services.
