We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in various settings including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive function.
  • Provide direct support for individuals with disabilities, including autism and other developmental challenges.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home care, hospice care, or home health is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with memory care needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
