Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care and a strong understanding of resident rights, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and respect. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those with disabilities and other health challenges. The Personal Care Assistant will provide transportation 1 to 2 times a week.


Responsibilities


  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Support individuals with memory care needs, utilizing effective communication techniques to engage and assist them.
  • Implement care plans tailored to each client's unique requirements, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
  • Foster a safe and comfortable environment by monitoring client safety and well-being.
  • Advocate for resident rights, ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions.
  • Offer direct support to clients in their daily routines, promoting independence while providing necessary assistance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in their condition.
  • Provide transportation 1 to 2 times per week
Requirements


  • Previous experience in home care or home health settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of memory care techniques and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans for diverse client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them at all times.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
