The right person will be a thought leader obsessed with search industry trends and best practices who thrives in dynamic and fluid business environments, has strong communication skills, and is proactive by nature.
The Sr. SEO Manager is tasked with growing organic website visitor traffic and attributed revenue via searches across desktop and mobile platforms.
They will develop annual and project level traffic and attributed revenue forecasts (updating as per business trends), create and drive the execution of annual search strategies and initiatives that achieve organic traffic and search-attributed revenue goals.
The Sr. SEO Manager will provide thought leadership and strategic search marketing guidance for DBX web properties (partnering with Paid Search, Analytics, Content, Design and Product Marketing), be DBX subject matter expert re: keyword research and SEO copywriting, have in-depth always-current knowledge of key competitor and search engine trends, drive find-ability improvements across DBX web properties, and act as the main POC for internal stakeholders re: all things search/SEO.


Responsibilities Spearhead development and implementation of search strategies re: keyword selection, SEO content, site architecture, link-building and optimized SERP for video/social/review sites to increase brand search visibility, and drive high-volume organic search traffic and attributed revenue Collaborate with Paid Search and Content in aligning keyword targeting and content creation, and driving overall search efficiencies Create strategies and initiatives to maximize brand visibility via video and YouTube, social, and review site Lead implementation of localized SEO for global versions of DBX web properties Leverage emerging search engine trends for maximum benefit of the DBX business Drive analyses re: search rankings and keyword performance and areas of opportunity, backlink structures, competitive activity, and emerging search trends - to inform decisions about content, site navigation, paid search, off-site SEO initiatives, etc.
Leverage search traffic data, audience and competitive/gap analyses, keyword research and SERP landscape analysis in designing search initiatives Report on search generated traffic and revenue performance, providing actionable and leverage-able insights, tying results to business goals Lead cross functional technical SEO projects, own related technical requirements for product and marketing initiatives Provide expert input re: site architecture and navigation across DBX web properties Ensure cross-functional teams like Content, Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing have fundamental grasp of SEO best practices Requirements 5+ years of search strategy/SEO professional experience Bachelors degree Skilled in leveraging analyses of trends in rankings, traffic, conversions, etc.
to develop SEO content and technical SEO initiatives - and in managing 3rd party digital agencies in successfully executing those initiatives and deliver good results Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable and persuasive explaining search strategy, specific search technology, industry trends, etc.

Experienced in working cross-functionally with content, design, and product marketing teams to driving planning and implementation of SEO programs Experience with SEO analytics and research tools and platforms e.g., Google Search Console, ahrefs, Moz, BrightEdge, STAT, semrush, etc.

This job posting reflects broad requirements, and represents two potential levels of role.


Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience and technical expertise along with the scope of the role.
For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $112,500 - $132,400 - $152,300 if you are assessed at the IC4 level.


If you are instead assessed at the IC5 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $139,100 - $163,700 - $188,300.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change.
To determine a Dropboxer s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox s total rewards package.
