What you’ll do

45 % – Plan & script

    • Own the editorial calendar for OptiSigns University (feature tutorials, pro-tips, release rundowns, case studies, webinars).
    • Write concise, engaging scripts, outlines, and on-screen text that make every second count.

40 % – Produce & edit

    • Capture talking-head and screen-share footage; light, film, and record crisp audio (studio or remote).
    • Edit in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve; add motion graphics, callouts, captions, and B-roll.
    • Maintain our brand voice, visual style, and accessibility (captions, color contrast, descriptive voice-overs).

10 % – Publish, optimize & engage

    • Upload to YouTube, the learning center, and in-app surfaces; craft click-worthy titles, thumbnails, and descriptions.
    • Use YouTube Studio & GA4 to track watch-time, retention, and CTA performance—then iterate.

5 % – Collaborate & evangelize

    • Partner with product, marketing, and support to stay ahead of upcoming launches and top support tickets.
    • Champion video best practices company-wide; coach teammates on on-camera skills when needed.

Requirements

What you bring

  • 2–5 years creating tech-focused video content (YouTube channel, course platform, or equivalent portfolio required).
  • Proven on-camera presence and the ability to explain nuanced SaaS features in plain English.
  • Advanced editing chops in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or Resolve; comfort with screen-capture tools (Camtasia, Loom, OBS).
  • Strong writing skills—clear, concise, and audience-aware.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics (After Effects, CapCut, or similar) and thumbnail design (Figma, Photoshop).
  • Working knowledge of SEO for video (keywords, metadata, chapters, end-screens).
  • Self-organized: you can juggle multiple projects, hit deadlines, and pivot with product changes.
  • Empathy for non-technical users and an instinct for simplifying complex workflows.

Bonus points

  • Experience with hardware, software reviews or B2B SaaS products.
  • Livestream/webinar production skills (StreamYard, OBS, Restream).
  • Voice-over, podcasting, or blog-writing chops.
  • Capability to translate or subtitle content in additional languages.
