Summary of Job Duties:
Workday Support Services is a department within the UA System Information Technology department responsible for the maintenance, support and innovation of Workday ERP/SIS system and other systemwide solutions. This team works closely with all central offices at our 22 institutions to ensure our Workday system is designed and support their campus business operations. The Workday Support Services teams strives to be visionary and technical, strategic and hands-on.

This position functions as the Director of Workday Student on the Workday Support Services team. Responsibilities include managing the software configuration, development, testing, as well as supporting the refinement and innovation the following modules: Workday Recruiting and Admissions, Academic Foundation, Student Records, Financial Aid, Advising and work collaboratively on configuration touchpoints with Student Finance, Finance/Procurement, and Human Capital Management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management - Lead and develop a high-performing cross-functional team while driving the future vision of Workday Student.
• Functional Expertise - Design, configure, and optimize Workday Student to align with institutional needs.
• Issue and Risk Management - Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks while resolving system-related issues effectively.
• Training & Change Management - Ensure effective communication, training, and user adoption of Workday Student changes.
• Quality Assurance - Maintain high-quality system performance through testing, compliance, and ongoing improvements. Ensure quality standards are adhered to by the team.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The educational equivalent of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least five years of experience leading or managing complex projects within the area of Student
  • At least three years of supervisory experience
  • Experience configuring complex systems and applications, translating business needs into effective technical solution
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and travel throughout the State to various UA campuses as needed



Preferred Qualifications:

  • The educational equivalent of Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Significant experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Experience with change management related to student information systems or other large enterprise system deployments
  • Experience configuring student information systems, translating business needs into effective technical solution
