The Job

As a Technical Project Manager at Omnidian, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective coordination and execution of preventative maintenance efforts across our commercial solar asset portfolio. This role serves as a strategic liaison between our clients, field service partners, and internal technical teams, supporting onboarding processes and facilitating timely, informed technical resolutions.

You will act as the central point of contact when service questions arise, whether from the field or from clients. Your ability to interpret technical details, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive projects to resolution will ensure that both immediate needs and long-term partnerships are supported with efficiency and professionalism.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

    • You excel at navigating complex stakeholder relationships and can effectively manage expectations across internal teams, clients, and field service providers.
    • You have a strong foundation in solar technology, field operations, and system performance, enabling you to confidently address technical inquiries.
    • You are highly organized and adept at juggling multiple priorities without losing sight of deadlines or detail.
    • You are a clear, professional communicator—able to distill technical content into actionable updates for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • You bring a proactive mindset and take ownership of issues, driving them to resolution while keeping stakeholders informed.
    • You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a continuous improvement lens to every project and interaction.
    • You are comfortable working with service platforms (e.g., Salesforce, DAS systems, or similar) and can quickly learn new tools as needed.

Experience You’ll Need

    • 5+ years of professional experience in solar energy, technical project management, or operations coordination.
    • At least 3 years of experience working with commercial solar systems, including asset management, field service support, or monitoring platform oversight.
    • Proven track record in managing cross-functional technical projects and coordinating with both internal teams and third-party service providers.
    • Proficiency in solar monitoring platforms (e.g., AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge) and interpreting system performance data.
    • Experience working within CRM or workflow systems such as Salesforce to manage service tickets, reporting, and communications.

Experience That's a Plus

    • NABCEP certification or completion of relevant NABCEP coursework.
    • Familiarity with battery storage technologies and their integration into solar systems.
    • Experience supporting or leading preventative maintenance programs in a commercial field services setting.
    • Exposure to contract interpretation, pricing discussions, or service level agreement (SLA) management.
