About the position
The Jr. IT Cyber Security Analyst position at IHCS is a full-time role focused on supporting the IT & Security Compliance team within the organization. IHCS is dedicated to providing high-quality in-home healthcare services, and this role is crucial in ensuring the security and compliance of the IT systems that support these services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing security risks, assisting with governance and compliance initiatives, and staying informed about the evolving security landscape, particularly in relation to healthcare regulations. This position requires a strong interest in technical issues and a commitment to continuous learning in the field of cybersecurity. As a Jr. IT Cyber Security Analyst, you will work closely with the IT & Security Compliance Analyst and the Manager of InfoSec, Governance, Security, and Compliance. Your responsibilities will include supporting various aspects of security risk management and compliance initiatives, which are essential for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of patient information. - Support the IT & Security Compliance team in identifying and prioritizing security risks.
- Assist with governance and compliance initiatives related to IT security.
- Stay up-to-date on the rapidly evolving security landscape and healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the IT & Security Compliance Analyst and the Manager of InfoSec, Governance, Security, and Compliance.
- Contribute to various aspects of security risk management and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT (System administration), cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of information security concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and SaaS systems.
- Experience with or exposure to Healthcare IT Systems.
Nice-to-haves
- CISSP certification
- Experience with vulnerability scans (Qualys, Tenable/Nessus, Rapid7, etc.)
- Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., AlienVault, Splunk, Qradar)
- Experience in cloud security.
