Receptionist (Part Time) – Williamsburg Landing – Williamsburg, VA ID-13615
Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks a Part-Time Receptionist to join our Assisted Living team one to two days per week Monday through Friday 4 pm to 7 pm and occasional weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 10 am to 7 pm with the ability to provide occasional coverage Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational, administrative, customer service, and communication skills. The Receptionist is responsible for presenting a positive image of Williamsburg Landing and maintaining professional relationships with residents, guests, management, and staff.

- Greets residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions or directing them to the appropriate area or department; answers the telephone promptly, transferring calls to appropriate department/person
- Schedules resident transportation as requested
- Ensures professional appearance of the lobby and front desk
- Performs work safely, effectively, to high ethical standards, and in accordance with Williamsburg Landing’s mission and values
- Performs work collaboratively with and in support of other services offered by Williamsburg Landing
- Performs work within a resident-centered framework
- Assists in training new receptionists and provides coverage for other receptionists as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; proficiency with MS Office required; basic knowledge of cash receipts and accounting procedures required; a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service or the hospitality industry preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent organizational, administrative, customer service and communication skills required; ability to understand and respond appropriately to older adults with unique life issues; ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously; ability to relate well with visitors, residents and staff in a courteous, friendly, prompt, and tactful manner
